Work Experience for our Service Users

The core of Loddon Social Enterprise is the work experience that all Service Users undertake. All work is provided by multiple local companies, so the work is kept varied throughout the week and mostly consists of basic assembling tasks.

Our business partners and the work they provide include:

The Ready Made Picture Company – We assemble picture frame corners as well as boxes from flat packed cardboard cut-outs.

ITW Global Fasteners – We attach foam washers to plastic grommets, which are then used as small components in cars.

Linde Material Handling – We fill and seal envelopes with weekly invoices and monthly statements.

And other ad hoc work.

Read some testimonials from our business partners.

We are always interested in talking to local companies to explore mutual opportunities to undertake simple assembly tasks or similar. Please contact Cathy at cathy@loddonctl.co.uk in the first instance.

Work Experience for Students

We offer work experience through the Basingstoke Consortium for young students at mainstream and special needs Secondary Schools.

Loddon also has links with BCOT students who are completing Health and Social Care studies and wish to gain valuable work experience to help contribute to their course.

Social

Loddon operates in an open plan environment to encourage all Service Users to communicate with each other, and to aid the development and improvement of their social skills. This is also achieved by getting everyone actively involved in christmas parties or any significant events such as the recent Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

Leisure

In recent years we have extended our premises facilities to allow cooking, arts and crafts sessions to take place as well as seasonal outside activities such as plant seeding and flower bed making.
